Weezer OK human discussion

This is the most recent album i have listened to coming out fairly recently in 2021 this year. I only recently started listening to some weezer this year starting with the self_titled album or the blue album as most fans like to call it. Most people think the blue album or Pinkerton is their best album but personally i think their latest album IS their best. The title is a reference to radiohead OK computer which is considered a all time classic by many people and is one of my favorite albums of all time. OK computer is about over reliance on technology and non stop travel and the song screens is about phones and technology which is interesting. I love how weezer changed things up on this album doing a more orchestral type of album and im down for it.

Van weezer was made to come out first but they decided to release this album before that album came out im glad they did. In a lot of cases certain albums are just too unnecessarily long for me but with this album i wished it lasted longer as it only clocked in at 30 minutes i wish it was longer though.maybe it adds to the replay value of the album though. I love how well the album flows it feels very cohesive thanks in part to how good the transitions are i love that aspect of that album its incredible. This review is coming from someone who never grew up with weezer's music when i was younger so i have no nostalgia or bias and with that in mind i still think OK human is their best project.

My favorite songs from OK human are: bird with a broken wing,numbers and aloo Gobi but every song is great and stands on its own on this album. The album can be mellow and downbeat at times on songs like numbers for example. But it isn't depressing it strikes a balance between downtempo mellow songs and catchy upbeat bangers. The lyrics aren't amazing but to be honest i don't really pay too much attention to lyrics i cant be bothered most of the time. I just like what i heard and loved the album. Even if its not you're favorite weezer album you have to respect the fact that they went in a new artistic direction and tried something new
