Life in a glass world by citizen. This album is great and full of energy full of headbanging riffs and catchy hooks. It shows that there is still talented young bands out there making great music they just dont get mainstream success the same as other genres are doing. Every song can be played outside the context of the album the songs are all good individually is basically what im saying. It puts you in a good mood i would say. So go check it out if you have got spare time. They definitely deserve more attention so go check the album out.
Ok human by weezer. I have already done a full album review on this site of the album that goes into more detail of the album so go check that review out. It takes a more orchestral approach to things while still feeling like a weezer album. Rivers cuomo vocals are top notch and the album manages to fly by leaving you wanting more. It was a nice change up for weezer that i really enjoyed listening to go check it out.
We will always love you by the avalanches. This album came out late 2020 but its still pretty recent. Its full of great guest appearances such as jamie xx rivers cuomo and mgmt with that guest list of features it can't go wrong. It sounds way different than any other avalanches project less up beat and sample heavy. Instead of waiting 15 years for a avalanches album we instead waited for 4 years a fairly normal album waiting release time. Overall just give it a listen it may be fairly long but it does not drag on.
Drunk tank pink by shame. I have not really been paying attention to the post punk scene bands such as interpol and irish band fountains dc were under my radar. This album just showed showcased to me the talent in the post punk scene and made me aware of post punk. Another album that is also bursting full of energy. Its not perfect or revolutionary but its still enjoyable.
Song machine season 1 by gorillaz. Humanz was a disappointment of an album the now now was better but still not as great as their early days. Song machine was a great return to form for the famous virtual band.It utilises the guest features really well bringing the best out of them. So many amazing songs on here its amazing it does not feel really like a cohesive album it feels like a great mixtape or playlist full of catchy and upbeat songs. Damon just wanted to create a bunch of fun songs not really having a concept for the album. Just listen to it.
From me to you by quadeca: This strange experimental hip hop album is great. Quadeca is only 19 and he is making albums like this. His talent is undeniable and his singing skills have improved on this album then on any other album or song of his. It grabs your attention from the minute you play it. It's not perfect but is certainly outstanding and unique. I thought the songs with features in them could have been cut from the album they feel like filler or songs to be thrown on a deluxe edition of the album or a b side album. But the rest is great.
Anyway that is all from me today tell me some cool albums that you found recently that came out fairly recently in the comments. As always have a great day.
