Daft punk - my favorite albums songs and their legacy

On the 22nd of February 2021 daft punk retired and left the music scene. They left a huge influence on music especially EDM. They had some great albums especially random access memories and discovery being my favorite. I didn't really enjoy homework that much i felt it was repetitive boring and way longer then it should have been. I might need to give it a few re-listens to form my solid opinion later on. Discovery is a huge improvement over homework in my opinion. Their are so many thrilling and epic songs on the album such as aerodynamic,voyager and many more. One more time starts off the album it is one of their most well known songs and for good reason. Its groovy dance-able and memorable. Maybe the lyrics aren't deep or thoughtful but that dosent matter its a feel good banger from the 2000s that almost everyone knows its a great tune. The other songs are great too for many of the same reasons. Every song is unique and stands out in its own way. Overall its a brilliant album to listen to from front to back. I also watched the animated film based upon the album called interstella 5555. I like the animation its fast moving and works with the albums music. Its just a cool movie that accompanies the album.

Random access memories is another favorite of mine the production is so smooth and the features used are perfect for the album. I have only listened to this album once whereas i have listened to discovery multiple times so i need to listen to this classic again. My favorite songs from the album are touch,instant crush and give life back to music. I feel like we needed daft punk to make a new album because i feel like EDM is so generic these days. A lot of dj's and artists hid their faces taking inspiration from daft punk for example marshmallow but no one did it as cool as daft punk lets be real. Daft punk never released tons of albums they always took their time and made sure the album was important and great quality. This would make their fans more patient for sure. It was always a long gap between albums. But this worked out in the long run they put out original and influential music during their career. Their legacies will live on forever. My favorite daft punk songs are da funk,one more time,aerodynamic,voyager,face to face,touch and instant crush.
